Always Rising

A story for women who have spent a life creating everyone else's dreams, and are now ready to create their own.

You might recognise yourself here.

The steady one.
The organiser.
The quiet decision-maker.

The woman who carried responsibility without the title.

You made things work while standing just out of view.

Always Rising is written for women who led without recognition, and are now ready to be visible on their own terms.

Written from lived experience, not theory.

This book didn’t come from theory.

For more than 30 years, I worked behind the scenes as a co-founder of one of Australia’s pioneering adventure tourism businesses, helping shape industry standards, quality systems and accreditation frameworks long before they were formally recognised.

Much of that leadership lived in the invisible work.
Decisions made quietly.
Responsibility carried consistently.
Outcomes that mattered long after the moment passed.

Always Rising is written from that place.

Not as instruction.
Not as motivation.

As lived truth, for women who have led, endured, and carried more than most people ever saw.

This is not a how-to book.

This book does not ask you to fix yourself.
It does not promise reinvention.
And it does not offer formulas for becoming someone else.

Always Rising is a companion book.
Written for women who have already lived, led, and carried responsibility.

It offers reflection, recognition, and space.
Space to make sense of your journey.
Space to name what you have held.
Space to honour what you have built.

You do not need to be ready for change to read this book.
You only need to be honest about where you are.

What early readers have shared

In their words

Any woman in business will see parts of her own story in these pages.

— Julia

Her approach to conflict, connection, and leadership resonated deeply. This book felt like a wise friend beside me.

— Georgia

I get more out of what you share than anything else I’ve tried.

— Bec

Reading this felt like someone had finally put words to experiences I’ve carried quietly for years.

— Angie

If these words resonate, Always Rising may be for you.

If you’re ready, this is your invitation.

You don’t need to be at the beginning of your journey to read this book.
And you don’t need to be at the end.

Always Rising is for the middle.
For the women who have lived, led, and carried responsibility, and are now ready to honour their story without rewriting themselves.

This book can be read slowly.
Returned to when needed.
And held alongside whatever chapter you’re currently in.

If this feels like the right moment, your copy is ready.

A quiet note before you go

Thank you for taking the time to be here.

Whether you choose to read Always Rising now, later, or simply hold the idea of it for a while, this space was created with care and intention.

This book is part of a broader body of work centred on identity, leadership, and women rising into visibility gently, honestly, and on their own terms.

There is no urgency here.
No pressure to change.
Only an invitation to recognise what you have already lived.

For some women, the reflection continues

Always Rising is complete in itself.
There is nothing more you need to do after reading it.

For some women, though, the book opens a quieter curiosity.
Not about fixing anything.
Simply about understanding themselves more clearly.

If that feels familiar, I’ve created a free Self-Discovery Blueprint.
It’s a short, gentle introduction to the kind of reflection we explore more deeply in the six-week She’s Rising journey.

The blueprint is not a course.
There is no commitment.
Just a place to pause, reflect, and notice what’s already present.

You’re welcome to explore it if and when it feels right.
